Sweet Success 4" Red Velvet Sponge Cake, perfect for creating your own Bento boxes, mini hamper gifts or for Afternoon Tea. This vibrant red velvet sponge is perfect for birthdays, weddings, or any special occasion. TIP: Why not keep a spare cake in the freezer ready for those last minute requests!

 

This ready-made cake offers a huge time saver for busy bakers and decorators. With a generous 2.5" depth (approximately 65mm), this 6 inch round cake provides ample surface area for decorating. Made with high-quality ingredients, and free from E171, this red velvet sponge guarantees a rich and satisfying flavor.

 

Individually boxed to keep moist and ready for you to decorate at home. Round cakes are baked individually in one layer, approx 2.5" deep, and are ready for you to split into 2 or 3 layers as you wish. Round cakes are baked in a tin of the size advertised - slight shrinkage may occur during baking. These cakes are packaged in a sturdy box to protect them during transit.

 

Please Note: This cake has a 5 week shelf life. Five week shelf life is calculated from the day of baking, not the day of delivery. We recommend that you order sponges to arrive about a week before the celebration, then decorate them in the week leading up to the wedding or party. This ensures the cake is in prime condition when served, and ought to give plenty of time to enjoy the left-overs! The shelf life given is for the undecorated cake base in the original packaging - once decorated, the life will depend on the type of fillings and icings used. Our sponge cakes all freeze very well if you do need to extend the shelf life.

 

Red Velvet Cake Ingredients:

Sugar, Wheat Flour (Calcium Carbonate, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine, Folic Acid), Egg, Vegetable Oils (Palm, Rape), Glycerine, Cocoa Powder, Raising Agents (E450, E500), Vanilla Flavour, Salt, Colours (E124, E129), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Emulsifiers: Xanthan Gum, Soya Lecithin.

 

Colours E124 and E129 may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

 

May contain: Nuts, Milk. Our red velvet cake recipe is DAIRY FREE - however, it is made in a bakery where milk is used, so is not suitable for those with serious allergies.
