Mulberry ProGel for Rich Berry-Wine Cake Colour

Some cake colours are bright and playful. Mulberry ProGel Concentrated Colour is all about depth, warmth and sophistication. This Rainbow Dust gel colour creates a rich berry-wine tone that sits between deep pink, burgundy and red, making it ideal for cake designs that need a more refined finish.

Mulberry is a beautiful choice when standard red feels too bold and pink feels too sweet. It brings a luxurious look to buttercream flowers, sugar roses and wedding celebration cakes. It is also a useful shade for vintage-inspired designs, romantic colour palettes and darker floral themes.

A Better Choice for Elegant Colour Palettes

Mulberry works especially well as part of a styled cake colour scheme. Pair it with ivory or cream sugarpaste for a classic finish, use it with gold lustre dust for a luxury effect, or combine it with dark green decorations for a rich botanical look. It also sits beautifully alongside blush pink, navy, chocolate and soft metallic tones.

Because ProGel is highly concentrated, you can build the colour slowly. Add a small amount at first, mix thoroughly and allow the shade to develop before adding more. This is particularly helpful with deeper colours, where the final tone can become richer after resting.

Where Can You Use Mulberry ProGel?

Use Mulberry ProGel to colour fondant icing, buttercreams and more. For fondant or modelling paste, knead until the colour is smooth and even. For buttercream or frosting, mix well and adjust gradually until the shade suits your design.

The colour-coordinated squeeze tube makes the gel easy to identify in your decorating kit and helps reduce mess when colouring both small details and larger batches.

Recommended dosage: 3g of colour per 1kg of decoration, maximum 4g. Maximum 1.5g of colour per 1kg of cake.

Ingredients: Humectant: E422, Water, Colours: E122, E129, E133, Modified starch from tapioca.
