Rapunzel from Tangled with Flowers

Bring a little Disney magic to a princess birthday cake with this Rapunzel with Flowers figurine . Inspired by Disney’s Tangled, Rapunzel’s long golden hair, purple dress and pretty floral details make her a lovely centrepiece for cakes celebrating young Disney Princess fans.

At approximately 10cm tall, she gives cake makers a ready-made character to build their design around. Her flowers also offer an easy starting point for the rest of the cake, helping you create a coordinated finish without having to cover every inch in decoration.

Flowers, Colour and a Touch of Magic

Rapunzel’s signature purple dress pairs beautifully with lilac, lavender and soft pink icing. For a floral birthday cake, try scattering small fondant blossoms around the base of the figure, adding piped leaves or creating a trail of flowers that winds around the side of the cake. Keeping the main decoration in a few complementary shades will help the character stand out.

If you’re making a more elaborate Tangled-themed cake, golden accents can bring in the warmth of Rapunzel’s hair and the magical feel of the film. A little edible gold lustre dust on fondant flowers or decorative details can add a subtle shimmer, while tiny lantern-inspired shapes make a recognisable nod to the story.

You can take the design in a different direction, too. A simple buttercream cake in pale purple, finished with a few flowers and Rapunzel on top, is an effective option when you want a pretty princess cake without an elaborate modelling project.

A ready-made princess centrepiece

Character figurines are especially useful for cake makers working to a deadline or creating several themed cakes. With Rapunzel already taking pride of place, you can focus on the icing finish, colour palette and personal touches that make the birthday cake feel special.
