Coronation

Are you hosting a Big Lunch for the King’s Coronation? Or maybe going to a street party? Or even just staying in? Whatever you’re doing over the royal weekend there’s plenty of baking to be done!

Scones

No matter how you are pronouncing ‘scone’ I think we can all agree that they are quintessentially British, so no doubt they will be a necessary addition to the royal weekend! Whether you like them plain, with raisins or you decide to add a twist to them, they are always a crowd pleaser.

Don’t forget the jam and clotted cream!

Trifle

Why not create a union jack pattern on top of your trifle with berries or sprinkles- whichever you prefer. You don’t have to stick to traditional flavours if you fancy a change – although everyone appreciates lashings of sherry at the bottom of a trifle – just look at the official Jubilee trifle which was lemon flavour. So, branch out try something new, maybe you’ll invent the Coronation trifle!

Victoria Sponge

Keep the baking simple and make a Victoria sponge then go mad with the decorations. Events like this don’t come around very often so if there was ever a time to test your skills with an over-the-top elaborate cake this must be it! You know we have everything you need to adorn your royal bake in our coronation section.
