Rainbow Dust Aqua ProGel Concentrated Colour is the shade to choose when your cake needs a cool, bright blue-green finish. Sitting between blue and turquoise, Aqua gives buttercream and fondant icing a fresh look that feels playful, modern and full of energy.

This colour is especially useful for cakes with a seaside, mermaid or summer themes. It also works beautifully for under-the-sea decorations and water-style buttercream, where a standard blue would feel too flat.

Is Aqua the Same as Blue or Turquoise?

Aqua is different because it has both blue and green tones. It is softer than Electric Blue, fresher than Navy and often brighter than a traditional turquoise. This makes it a strong choice when you want a colour that feels clean, cheerful and eye-catching without becoming too dark.

Because ProGel is highly concentrated, you can build the shade gradually. Add a small amount to your icing, mix thoroughly and adjust only when needed. This helps protect the texture of buttercream, sugarpaste, modelling paste and royal icing.

How to Use Aqua in Cake Decorating

Aqua ProGel can be mixed into buttercream for bright cupcake swirls, ocean-style finishes and bold borders. It can also be kneaded into fondant or sugarpaste for toppers, lettering and handmade decorations. For cake batter, add the gel slowly and mix until the colour is even.

For a standout finish, pair Aqua with white sugarpaste for a clean modern contrast, silver lustre dust for a magical look, or coral, pink and purple shades for mermaid-inspired designs. The easy-control tube makes the colour simple to dispense, whether you are tinting a full batch or adding small decorative details.
